Hi Mr Sloth, I don't see the SP maps being asymmetrical as a problem, so long as players know about the asymmetry & starting points are randomised, I see it as a positive, it avoids the "dash towards the middle & have a scrap" play of existing maps. The current maps are fun but this would create a bit more variety.
I'm playing Roch Castle at the moment & think it would make an excellent MP map. Lots of points of interest so lots to fight over. The large number of independents can be used tactically as well.
Not really expecting another update but if one comes this looks (to me anyway) like a way to add large content with little work.
OK I'm looking into adding a modified Roch Castle as a new MP map. SP maps are inherently unbalanced, so in MP the starting location may make things unfair, but I can see it could still be fun. I'll see how it goes. I'm not sure how long it'll take currently as I can only dedicate a bit of time to it.
OK sorry it took a while, but there is a now a new multiplayer map based on Roch Castle. I didn't do a full submission for this update (which takes a huge amount of time) so there are no major changes to the game. But if you restart the game it will auto-download the new map. I'm not sure how well it works a multiplayer map as I didn't have a lot of time for extended testing, so I'll rely on comments from players. I can always tweak it a bit later if it needs changes.
Also, I've update the 2nd quest, but more on that in another thread.
