Alastair, I go for long periods of time not playing games on my tablet. This time, when I began playing again, I bought a couple turn based strategy games. Then, when you updated TLW, I remembered the fun I had in it and started palying again.
While in the beginning (I always restart a game when I've been away from it for any length of time), I realized TLW was missing a couple UI conventions most modern turn based strategy games now have.
The first is a movement grid. In fact, I restored my TLW backup thinking it used to be there (but, of course, it wasn't). I don't mean a permanent movement grid, but one that displays when a specific action is performed. This would go a long way in helping a player plan his moves. I don't think a new button should be added to the UI, but something like adding it to top-down-view or having it display when you tap and hold on a character. The grid only needs to show the legal moves.
[Never mind! I guess my memory isn't that bad as the movement grid is already there, I just, somehow, missed it.]
The second is in inventory management. In Windows, you put a move all option, if memory serves, but in Android, there is no such convenience. Might I suggest transferring an item with a double tap?
