Hi the Handicap seems too extreme I feel it needs adjusting the +9 are nearly indestructible and it seems their creatures get a boost as well. The system is a good idea but makes games too difficult. Thanks
Thanks for the feedback. I've reduced by 1 the attack/defense bonus that creatures get at the very high end of the handicaps. This will take effect for newly started games.
It is only a small change for now. There are still new players that lose immediately, and even long term players that don't win with +9 HC, so on one hand, I'm not sure it is effective enough, but sometimes I also think it would be better if I removed it completely. Feedback on how will it is performing is useful, as I can easily tweak the handicap numbers on the game server without doing an update to the game.
There is a new update coming soon by the way, an interesting new creature (that is really 4 creatures in one), and a new multiplayer map. I've also added some multiplayer specific hints to the loading screen to try and help those that don't win often.
On reflection, (and after playing a few games) I've reduced the handicap advantages a bit further. No Warlock will ever start with Elite units (2* promotions) any more, but the higher handicaps will still get veteran units (1* promotions). The attack/defense bonus has been reduced a little as well as the Warlocks health advantage being reduced. I've left the extra spells/mana as is.
